Our story, mission, and the community we serve.
The Punjabi Association of Jacksonville (PAJI) is a non-profit community organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich heritage, traditions, and vibrant spirit of Punjab in Northeast Florida. We serve as a cultural bridge, connecting families, empowering youth, and creating a warm, inclusive home for the local Punjabi community.
To unite, support, and serve the Punjabi community in Jacksonville by promoting our cultural heritage, fostering meaningful connections, and creating inclusive platforms for artistic, social, and youth engagement.
To build a vibrant, connected, and culturally rich community where Punjabi traditions thrive across generations, and where our heritage contributes positively to the diverse cultural tapestry of Jacksonville.
Organize landmark annual festivals — such as Punjabi Mela, Teeyan Da Mela, cultural Galas, and seasonal celebrations — featuring traditional folk dances (Giddha & Bhangra), live music, and authentic cuisine.
Provide opportunities for children and young adults to learn, showcase, and take pride in Punjabi music, arts, language, and heritage.
Create welcoming spaces for families, newcomers, and long-term residents to network, share resources, and support one another.
Engage in local community service initiatives, fostering strong relationships within the broader Jacksonville area.
PAJI is driven by the passion and dedication of our community. If you are interested in volunteering, joining hands with us, or taking an active role in planning future events and initiatives, we would love to have you on board!
